COURSE TITLE: ACCOUNTING I
Grades 10-12; 1/2 credit/Semester (Elective)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The purpose of Accounting I will introduce students to the double entry method of keeping financial records. Materials provide a combination of subject matter and practice experiences concerned with elementary principles of accounting, accounting terminology, and basic knowledge necessary to keep a simple set of books. Accounting I will incorporate the use of computerized accounting.
COURSE TITLE: ACCOUNTING II (Prerequisite: Accounting I)
Grades 10-12; 1/2 credit/Semester
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The purpose of Accounting II is to provide students with detailed accounting knowledge. This includes more complex accounting transactions and the preparation of financial statements and reports for a partnership and corporation. Accounting II will incorporate the use of computerized accounting.
