Personal Finance (MISO3- 14095)
Grades 11-12; 1/2 credit; 18 weeks
Course Description: Students will develop and apply valuable life skills in money management, career planning, saving and investing, credit management, and retirement planning. Students will enhance their communication and success skills and learn from current trends and realities in economics. Students will explore career options and how to take the steps needed to set their future plains in action. Learning concepts include: job search skills, job applications, preparing resumes and cover letters, consumer rights, charitable giving, simple and compound interest, and how to file taxes.
