Course Description:
Probability and Statistics is a course in statistics that emphasizes statistical thinking. The focus is on statistical ideas and reasoning in real life situations such as business, medicine, sports, etc. This class will enable your students to formulate questions that can be addressed with data, and collect, organize, and display relevant data to answer those questions, select and use appropriate statistical methods to analyze data, develop and evaluate data and make predictions, and understand and apply basic concepts of probability. It is also a good course to prepare for college-level statistics for those students interested in business, education and other majors that will require it.
